Adult / Pediatric Heartsaver & First Aid Course
Sunday June 6, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Simi Valley Hospital (Citrus Peppertree Room)
This course is for the general public who would like to learn CPR and first aid for both adults and children. This $85 class includes textbook and postage as well as participation, demonstration and written evaluation. Upon successful completion of the demonstration, the participant will receive a Heartsaver CPR Card. The class is approved by the American Heart Association.

Childbirth Education
Mondays: June 7 through July 5 & Wednesdays: June 2 through June 23

This $50 four-week course is offered year-round on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Baby Care Basics

Learn all about the care of your soon-to-arrive newborn, including bathing, diapering, feeding, burping, comforting and car seat safety. The final hour of the class will cover car seat safety taught by NTHSB-certified instructors.

Breastfeeding Class

There’s no better way to nourish your baby than through breastfeeding, and it’s good for you, too. This class, taught by an internationally board-certified lactation consultant will prepare you for breastfeeding and help you make it a positive experience for both you and your baby.

Grief Recovery Support Group
Thursdays, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Aspen Outpatient Center Conference Room, 2750 N Sycamore Dr., Simi Valley
This free support group is for individuals who are suffering from a loss and need a safe place to give expression to their feelings, their questions and emotions. Both support groups are facilitated by Chaplain Ron Hyrchuk, Simi Valley Hospital director of spiritual care services, who has more than a decade of experience in helping others work through the death of a loved one.
